About Pinpoint ~ Accountants for small businesses
Pinpoint was established during 2003 in order to provide accounting help and satisfy the tax and business advisory needs of the smaller business.
The Practice has two Directors, Colin Cliff and Chris Reed. Both Colin and Chris have extensive experience in dealing with the needs of small businesses. The Practice is complemented by a team of professionals that specialise in the varying needs of smaller businesses.
There are no specific criteria that we adopt in determining a smaller business as we are flexible enough to cater for the sole trader as much as the family owned company.
Whatever a clients needs, we are confident of finding a solution.
This Practice thrives on communication, listening to clients, adapting to their needs by supplying solutions to problems and identifying opportunities wherever possible. We aim to be accessible and personable so that our clients feel comfortable in talking to us about any issues, however minor they may be. Let's meet the team:
- Chris Reed (BSc (Hons))
A Director of Pinpoint. Chris has over 25 years experience in dealing with the accounting and tax needs of small businesses. Joined Pinpoint in 2008 to share the responsibility of looking after a growing practice.
Enjoys tennis and golf, supports Newcastle United.

- Colin Cliff (FCCA)
A Director of Pinpoint. Opened the 'Pinpoint' doors in 2003. Has nearly 30 years of experience in dealing with small businesses. Enjoys the planning and advising aspects and deals with the business valuation work. Away from Pinpoint he enjoys his sport and still plays a lot of cricket. Supports Notts County.

- Graham Austin
Graham is one of the senior accountants at Pinpoint looking after the accounting needs of some of our larger clients. Graham also enjoys his sport and actively supports Nottingham Forest.
- Susan Barber (MAAT)
One of the original members of Pinpoint starting in 2003. Deals with the bookkeeping and accountancy requirements of a portfolio of clients and has extensive knowledge of 'SAGE' accounting software. She now works on a part time basis to balance the needs of Pinpoint with her young family. Also supports Notts County.
- Susan Dealtry (ATT)
Susan joined Pinpoint in 2004 in order to look after the personal tax needs of our clients. Susan is a qualified tax technician (ATT). Since then Susan has acquired the skills to look after the Pinpoint Payroll Bureau. She is a keen (motor) biker, following the racing both at home and abroad. During winter she enjoys the ice hockey. Susan also loves walking her dog.
- Elizabeth Molife (FCCA)
Elizabeth qualified as a 'Chartered Certified Accountant' in 2004 and joined Pinpoint a year later. 'Betty' deals with the accounts requirements of a sizeable portfolio of clients. She also has a young family to look after.
- Joanna Ward
Came to help us out in 2004 as we were a growing business and has been with Pinpoint ever since. Jo works on a part time basis predominantly preparing accounts and bookkeeping for our smaller clients. Jo is married with 2 children and supports Leeds United.
- Claire Vimpany
Claire's friendly voice may be the first thing you hear when you call. Claire works on a part time basis looking after the Pinpoint administrative needs. We couldn't run Pinpoint without her. Claire is married with 2 children, loves shoes and bags but detests football!
